When namco released time crisis 4 for the Ps3 it pretty much went no where, as soon as i saw the light-gun controller had 6 buttons, 2 thumbsticks and had a cord i decided not to buy it since i hate overly complex controls, and cables i was dissapointed about the low quality of the product.
But thanks to the Wii light gun gaming is more alive than ever and and personally i love these types of games there are heaps of titles which feature Wii Zapper support. Link's Crossbow Training , The House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return , The House of the Dead: Overkill , Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles , Nerf N-Strike , Target: Terror , Wild Gunman (2008), Wild West Guns , Ghost Squad , Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 , Call of Duty: World at War , Quantum of Solace(soon ?)
Wii allready has more games of this type than the PS2 accumulated over the entire life of the system !. The X360 has zero games of this type and the Ps3 has only 1 with a poorly designed and overly complex peripheral.
As the Wii Mote is a standard peripheral, publishers of light gun games have the perfect platform. Wii has the right hardware the most software and a huge install base so the other platforms including even the PC dont even come close to the Wii in this respect.
Accuracy the IR sensing on the Wii can be precise - set up correctly it will provide line of sight aiming with no cursor required (this is how a light gun game should be played). There are several wiimote housing available which provide a pistol grip for light-gun games (ie Wii Zapper).
PS3 number 1 fan
