Forums - Gaming - The difference between SDTV and HDTV?

Hi all, can someone send me screenies showing the difference between a PS3 or 360 game on a SDTV compared to a HDTV? Thanks!

Bump.

Dude, you don't bump a 5-minute old thread ... but you are new. And it's about sharpness and lighting as well. HDTV owns SDTV - or just google it.

Its only been 5 minutes since you posted the thread. Please don't bump. Also you won't see much of a difference unless you compare them on a tv in motion using both resolutions.

HDTV is much better.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)

The main difference between SDTV and HDTV is resolution. Also, SDTV is cathode ray tube (CRT) and HDTV is usually either LCD or Plasma.

£50 says there are more CRT HD displays available than LCD/Plasma.

HD is much crisper and clean. With HD you can see all the fine details. SD is less clear and pictures are fuzzier. The difference is like being near sighted/Far sighted and putting your glasses/contacts on and seeing the world crisper and more detailed.

Thanks for your help people, but can someone send me screenshots showing the difference?

Try setting your windows resolution to the lowest possible. 800x600.? Now imagine if it went even lower.
