Not really, if Halo was multiplatform, it would probably be over 13 million.

But it's not Cheat1011, COD is and even on just the 360, Modern Warfare has hit 6 million with Halo at 8. PS3 got 3.5 million sales and we simply don't know how many people own both consoles so as an exclusive COW would do very well.

imagine COD series being an exclusive, many people will cry, and many more will have to buy the console by any cost...

COD WOW has already hit 3 million for the 360 and close to 2 million for the PS3, those are some special numbers. Add on one COD game releases per year and I think it is safe to assume Activision own the most powerful shooter franchise in the gaming industry.

In just a few years the popularity of the franchise has gone through the roof, this is what happens when good games are made. :P

What franchise will be able to topple it though? It won't be Halo or Killzone, or any other exclusive shooter.

I honestly don't think there's anything on the horizon with the potential this gen.

I cant see COD being touched, for one Treyarch are getting better and Infinity Ward is Infinity Ward. This years game was from the weaker team yet it has sold 5 million already (I have to say thanks to COD 4) and next years game is by the more talented team. Add that it wont be a WW game which people are getting a little tired and and looks like Activision have other 10 million seller.

i m sorry but if halo was multipalt ,,Microsoft insane  marketing and hype machine was not behind it and there is no way in hell halo can sell 8 million copies on its own merits.

Ask yourself : if a lambda platform could get the exclusivity of Halo or CoD, which would it choose ?

It would really be a tough choice...
