Home is just there to churn out more and more money for Sony, have you lot see the number of 3rd parties who have signed up for advertising at Home? People just dont understand how much advertising costs, Home was nothing but a stroke of genius from Sony.

Home for gamers is rubbish, nothing to do but they have posters all over Home adversing all there games, the PSP etc which is basically free advertising for them. Most people with a PS3 don't go no gaming forums and such so going on Home and finding out about a game such as R2 might mean they pick the game which they never would have done.

*shakes head* Eight Days and The Getaway would have made Sony money had they been great games, Home is just going to make money for Sony without anything being done.

Well this is the thing about Home, it will constantly be improved and in time it will get more and more features. The hard part is done for Sony, London studios can have a small amount of people mainting and improving Home while the rest can now start making games ala a proper "next gen" Singstar.

Home doing well will be something which PS3 gamers should be hoping for, the money made will just be recycled back into the gaming division meaning Sony can acquire more studios, maintain and improve PSN etc.

this is a example, its probability more. point is sony made over a million dollars for something that cost them almost nothing to make. that alone can pay off the people who work on maintaining the servers

I wouldn't say they are making money yet. I'm sure they are still recouping costs of developing home and buying the servers. However, since people blow tons of money on microtransactions, I'm sure Home will eventually turn a profit and rake in the $$$.

I was honestly not expecting this. But I'm all for it, but please Sony. I need more reasons for going into Home. Give me 3rd party spaces, and give me universal game launching!

Well sonys online service is free, so charging for some extra content doesnt seem a bad idea, and does seem to be doing okay...

What's wrong with the current (4) Singstars for PS3 that are out now?

I was a bigger disbeliever in Home, but it has TONS of potential, what they need is more space with more stuff to do in each game space, more streamless (it already got a little better with the latest patch), more videos in the theater, there's only one video there right now... I actually like Home, if they didn't take away my rewards, I would be using it more, they said I'll get them back soon, so until then I'm not using it.....

Reading this makes me like their ideas for Motorstorm and Buzz Home space with mini games and whatnot...

Oh and being able to go from room to room while trying to launch a game, I was trying to launch Warhawk and I had to stay in one room, i.e. I couldn't go from the Plaza to the mall or vice versa, that was crap.
