You see here's the problem with you and the guy who wrote the article.  You think because you feel that way that everyone else does.  And its not the truth.  I don't need my 360.  I ahve it so I can play Xlive with my friends and RE5 the day it comes out.  Other than that its a bonus add on for my Wii which is my main console.  Yet you don't hear me bashing the 360 or saying it's a toy or gadget and the Wii is the only console for core gamers.  And I'll be damned if someone like you or someone like him is going to tell me I'm less of a gamer because of it.  You see that's when you really start to piss me off.  STOP ACTING LIKE YOUR OPINION IS THE ONLY ONE.  Some people like the Wii as a main console and some don't.  Who gives a shit which one is dominant.  Play what ya like and let the other gamers play what they like.  But have some god damn respect for the people that have supported this industry from the beginning and got it to where its at.

With all due respect, why is it you can only have an opinion about something you own?  This article is from a legitimate gaming site, posted as a discussion thread by someone who owns the console (me).  How is that flamebaiting?

I have a Wii and a 360 and the Wii get's play time almost everyday and the 360 maybe gets play time once a week. Everyone has their opinions. That's whats so great about being an individual!

Go enjoy your 360 or PS3 and I'll enjoy my Wii.

It's flamebaiting because it's from a fanboy, written on a site to cater to other fanboy fantasies, has no credibility, and the author admits that he has no idea what he's talking about at the end. How is it not flamebaiting?

Frankly I don’t really mind what people call the Wii, just so long as I am having a blast with mine. But I do mind – I do – when someone trashes me along with it. Pah! Not a gamer indeed!

But this exact same argument has been done to death, and it is always the cry of the defeated. The same argument was used to claim that:

- the Impressionists weren’t really painters or artists
- that Einstein wasn’t a proper physicist
- that PCs aren’t real computers
- that Isaac Newton was cheating when he invented differential calculus
- and so on …

All wrong. Like this one.
