actually, now that u mention about the battle system, i hate FF8's battle system. totally doesnt make sense. never customized it, always just "auto"-ed it. FF7's system was so easy to understand and lovely to use.

I can agree with you on one point at least, I haven't wanted to play through a Final Fantasy game since VII. I haven't played XII at all, someone's going to need to seriously convince me that it's worth the time lost playing it before I do. Maybe it was the lack of chocobos in VIII, maybe it was the emphasis on graphics detail over the game itself, maybe it was the video game fairy flipping a bit in my brain. Perhaps it's because I'm getting older, I'm not sure. I just don't think I'll buy one again until they bring back whatever made the original FF games so interesting.

I liked FF7, FF9 (kinda), and FF3 on DS. FFXII is GREAT but i don't like the new battle system, it doesn't feel like a FF. GREAT graphics, the sound is kinda meh, but overall the game worths the time. FFXI is YUCKS! i've played with a friends account and it is just awful.

I liked 8 futuristic setting. I love 6,7 and 9. I was ok with 10 until the end, I thought it was a cop out. X-2 I actually enjoyed because I didn't take it seriously. Xi nugged the hell out of me. I enjoyed the size of the world and the story progression. But the style, the grind and the fact that you "HAD" to be in a party past level 10 to do anything killed it for me. XII is also one of my favorites to date. And I need to find some rechargable battaries for my Wii. I really want official ones though. It would be nice.

Well here we dont agree .FFVII rocked ,FFVIII rocked(maybe the best of the turn based combat systems ) ,FFIX was allright at best ....for gods sake the final enemy was somebody you hadnt heard about until ten minutes in the end of the game !!FFX is great ,altought I havent played it as extensively (I dont have the PS2 ,played it at a friends house ) .FfX-2 is crap ,FfXI simply is a offshot as Crystal Chronicles it shouldnt be in the main series .FfXII for what I hear rocks big time .

I started gameing in around 87' (I was born in 84') I dont rember much of it. Crap, I was only 4. However I was playing. (and beating) many games from the time. I've been useing a computer since I was 1. (didnt know what I was doing, but I was raised on my dad's lap, with my nubbly little infant hands on the keyboard, and mouse. FF4 was my first 'real' game. I consider it my first real game, because of the fact it was the first game I can rember the story out of, and the most complex game I played. (still one of the most complex games I've ever played... wich makes me sick)

FFVII rocked , You liked the overkill weapons, and the unique game world. FFVIII rocked(maybe the best of the turn based combat systems ) , You liked the futureistic world, and the world design. You like the fact you can see Rikka's panties thought many scenes of the game, and the fact you have to follow a path (yes, one path) to get to the end of the game. FfX-2 is crap , This is just crap. FfXI simply is a offshot as Crystal Chronicles it shouldnt be in the main series . This does NOT feel like Crystal Chronicles. It should be in the main series. It's just a horrible MMO. A Great game, Great story, Great world, Great characters. HORRIBLE MMO. FfXII for what I hear rocks big time . FFXII uses a new battlesystem, and it does totally rock. Although the story didnt connect with me.
