aha here is the secret of ur PC power ... mine is i7 920 overclocked to 3.2 ghz, 6gb 1600mhz ram, single GTX 260 and crysis warhead run at 15fps or maybe worse at 1680 x 1050 with Enthusiast settings 0 x AA

 

then there is something really wrong with your pc or drivers, because a friend of mine plays it @ 30 fps 1680*1050 enthousiast with an 9800gtx, 4 gig 1333 mhz and a Q6600 @ 3.0 Ghz.

Yeah that should be enough, I don't think that's the problem. do you use Vista or XP??

In the past I have been accused of being a fanboy of a certain HD console. Clearly I am not, but I will contribute this:

It is RIDICULOUS to suggest either the PS3 or the Xbox 360 are capable of matching Crysis running on a high-end PC with ANY game. Certainly not now, almost no chance even by the end of the two console's lifetimes.

You can argue that you prefer the art-style of a certain console game more than that of Crysis, but ultimately you cannot reasonably argue that a game looks better technically or the majority. And even if you tried to make that argument, you're ignoring the underlying theme here, that high-budget PC games ALWAYS look better than high-budget console games with the possible exception of just a few months after a console launches.

When it launched, the computing power necessary to run Crysis at it's absolute best wasn't really even commercially available, now it is still prohibitively expensive. And before anyone spins me a line, Crysis is EXTRAORDINARILY well optimized. Anyone that actually believes a console can match that kind of prowess is deluding themselves.

 i use Vista 64 bit because if i used the 32 bit one its will give me 3 gb ram only ... i want to ask .. i can make 260 gtx with 280 gtx sli or the cards should be the same ?

According to some PS3 fans Kill Zone 2 will have better graphics than Crysis on Ultra High settings on PC.
