Me and my family go to a show every year called Jasper Carrots christmas cracker, which is a charity show where suprise guests come on and perform. Usually they are quite famous, but middle of the road so everyone can enjoy them, I've seen the who, Bill Baily (Comedian), Robert Plant and a fair few others over the years.

But last night Tony Iommi from Black sabbath played with Rick Wakeman (Who was also briefly in Black Sabbath), Bev Bevan and Toyah wilcox in this 'super group' and they played some Black sabbath songs. It was really good.

I've seen Tony Iommi live more times than I can count and I've seen just about every iteration of black sabbath around so it was nothing new. It's that it was a complete suprise to see my favorite guitarist live that was really cool.

But it was ruined by my dad being an absolute miserable bastard, saying how nobody good was on and the NEC is a crap venue and then yelling at me when I said I enjoyed it, because apparently I'm wrong and seeing a 'supergroup'/members from my fav band play hits from my favorite bands repatoire is not good or entertaining and was a waste of our money... apparently

So you and your dad don't like the same music? That's crazy, I never heard that before...

BTW, don't let his attitude ruin it for you. That's pretty awesome. That's like me accidentally going to a show where Bootsy Collins played a set with Ben Folds and Frank Sinatra... except your people match.
