Yea but the funny thing is, Bethesda said "No" to a mandatory install.

Then why is there a 5000mb HDD required logo in the back of the box?

Then Bethesda lied. Just type Fallout 3 mandatory install and you will find hundred of links saying Fallout 3 will not have mandatory install...

so its optional, I wonder if installing the 5 gigs would improve the visuals or performence of the game.
