Quantun of Solace also uses the COD4 engine.

PR FTW? I've played all the stages of QoS on the Wii of course, Im gonna buy this game anyway for splitscreen multiplayer experience, and thats not COD 4 engine. Sorry since you're in public relations of Activision I wont debate  you about that one since you knew better, but the first stage of COD WAWii blow all of the stages of QoS out of the water. I have a chance to play COD WAW briefly and the first stage alone was very good. Of course in Wii's standards its still gimped but definitely better than other third party games on the Wii right now...

I'm not on their PR team but I know some of their PR people.  Neil Wood is a great guy.  I'm in the media but am not at liberty to divulge anything more than that.

What you noticed was the fact that COD:WoW was developed by Treyach themselves but QoS was actually developed by Beenox Studios - the guys who made the Bee Movie Game, Cars, Kung Fu Panda, etc...

They both use the COD4 engine but one developer is obviously more talented and better funded than the other.

Im thinking what software used in Quantum engine? Seem iuts different than the COD 4 engine used in COD WAWii. I think COD WAWii uses Direct X while other games especially The Conduit uses open GL

Do you honestly have any idea what you're talking about?  Do you know the difference between Direct X and Open GL?  Do you know what an API is?  The Wii doesn't use Dirext X, rather Direct3D, at all.

OH OK, sorry... LOL I just compared the Wii in my PC so I think COD 4 engine uses the DirectX engine and The conduit was open GL because it looks like the Counter Strike/Half-Life. SORRY, I based my posts on assumptions by comparing the games I've played between my PC and the wii.

About QoS it looks like a PS2 game though :/ So thats really COD 4 engine? I cant believe it. I thought its the COD 3 engine on the Wii.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

It's as I stated. QoS was outsourced to Beenox which have made crappy licensed titles. It wasn't made by Treyarch themselves like CoD:WaW was.

A game engine itself doesn't make a game look good. It still requires great art and programming.

AW too bad, I like the cover system if it could have a decent graphics it could be perfect.

for those that keep saying call of Duty 6,7,8 etc...

they have changed it into 2 different series'

modern warfare and world at war

the next game is modern warfare 2, not COD 6

@ spdk1 we know, we just don't care :P

They still use the numerical suffix as an internal working title.

After the post of viper1 Im thinking about this right about now, is Activision really making COD games on the Wii same as theyre making the PS360 versions even before Treyarch making COD WAW? What I mean was its already planned even before Treyarch develioping the Wii version? Is COD 3 a success?

590K. It took a couple years, but likely WaW will get there faster.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
