This could be confirmation of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on Wii

The game will hit Wii. I don't think that's a relevant question at this point. The real debate is whether or not Infinity Ward will swallow some pride and do it themselves or have Activision outsource it elsewhere.

I suspect Infinity Ward will handle the Wii iteration themselves.

I don't know about wrecking people's Wii but I do notice that it does read the disc excessively.  What do you mean about the date placement?

I think he meant data, not date.

Sure, the game reads off the disc a lot but that's hardly detrimental to the console. It's not like the PS1 where the guide track and laser were off the shelf CD player components. The Wii, and the GC before it, use a high grade Matsushita drive so it's not going to wear out anytime soon regardless of how disc activity it gets.

Now that MW has been announced, what for wii this November? Let's face it, WAW has limped to 1m so what the chances of an Infinity Ward MW for Wii?

I really dont think IW would do it for Wii. They could simply say that it 'can't' be done and that's it.

Only reason people are saying that it will be on wii is the sales of WaW, but look at the sales of RE:4 wii, it easily crossed a million and still capcom didn't care about a wii version of 5, again mentioning the same reason, "it can't be done on wii".
