On December 14, 2008, Jeff Hardy finally won the WWE Championship

For those fans who don't believe me, check this video out

I still can't believe it. This is one wwe storyline I am actually happy about since the Attitude Era.

JR is currently one of the best play-by-play announcers in sports.

@Jackson50, he always been. I didn't think WWE would actually let him become champion. I hope he has a long title reign.

I never understood the excitement of that. I mean if a sports team beats another team and somebody comes on and is all like "Yeah, such and such team wins the title!!" I get it, because that's an actual event. But when it's written into the script ahead of time, it becomes kind of wierd. I mean how many topics are there to the effect of "Yeah!! GOKU FINALLY BEAT FRIEZA!!!" or "HOUSE FINALLY FIGURED OUT WHY THAT GUY WAS BLEEDING FROM HIS RECTUM!! GO HOUSE!". I mean isn't it just the conclusion of a story board?

Not that I'm saying a person shouldn't be, I love it when House finds the cause of rectal bleeding. But often times people approach it with the enthusiasm of real events occuring. And that baffles me.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

I have not watched much pro wrestling since 2003, but I concur that it is surprising that they let Hardy win.

It's because wrestling mimics sports, not TV shows. It promotes having favorites and rooting for them to win. Everyone knows it's staged, but you still don't usually know the outcome. Plus different wrestlers have different personalities and fighting styles, so there is differentiation. It's more along the lines of wanting to see your favorite in a preferable situation where they get more time and more prestige matches, and less that you think they actually beat someone and are more skilled than the next guy is.

It's hanging on. The TNA Impact and Smackdown vs. RAW 2009 games should have clued you in on that. Then again, I never took you for much of a brainiac Jason Statham.

The thing is I haven't been interested in wrestling since the Attitude Era. Growing up, I always felt that Jeff should be champion but WWE only concentrated on Triple H. I only watched it for so long because I said I won't stop watching it until Jeff and Matt became world champion. Now that they are both world champions, there's no point to me watching it anymore. None of the new talents impress me. Everyody I want has become champion. After Wrestlemania 25, I will stop watching wrestling.

Both Hardy's hold world championships right now. I don't watch WWE, though I do check in on the website. Harmless fun really.

congrats to the boys from NC!!!!!!!!
