I'm surprised none of you think that GTA can sell to girls. Go on any regular, mainstream forum that's about random life with 50% of the population being girls. Then ask everyone what games are played. Chances are that girls will put sims first, GTA second.

I agree with the guy! No, the DS isn't a girly handheld (well, not a girly handheld ONLY), but the game won't sell well. I don't think that DS owners are waiting for games like that and this GTA doesn't look good.

What will be considered successful to Rockstar is all that matters.
By the time the game is released, the DS will be at approx. 100 million sold.
All I see is cash from this move.

If 2% - 5% of all DS owners are the "gotta have all games / systems / etc... " there are no problems.

2 million is VERY realistic.
5 million is not out of the realm of possibility.

Either way they will do more then break even, make a huge profit, and rethink their model for Wii as well.

GTA is a massive franchise amongst casual players, subsequently it will be a success!

But DS is for girls =/
