Porygon was Man's first attempt at creating a Man-made Pokemon. Although it was created in a lab, they intended on making a Pokemon (which they did).

And just in case someone says "Mewtwo was the first man made Pokemon", that's wrong. Mewtwo was an attempt to clone an already existing Pokemon.

As nerdy as it is, I know my Pokemon lore. (Up to 151... after that, it gets hazy).

By life end:

NDS- 85~90 million (Skeptical) - FAILURE

Haha. Kidding aside, my son (I think he was 6 or 7 then) came rushing to me telling me of his startling discovery (that Ekans thing).
