A Mario FPS would outsell Halo. I doubt they would do it though.

No, actually, back in the day, my buddies and I played with guns set on the highest PSI possible... so, just add parental controls to the game.  For games rated, E for everyone, Mario will laugh when he gets hit by a paintball... if it is rated T for teen, Mario will yell, "Oh, now that is a stinger", and if it's rated M for mature, Mario screams, "Son of b--"

See, now from casual to hardcore, we can all be happy.  You can't win over us COD guys without a few curse words ;)

However I highly doubt Nintendo would do such a thing as they are 'very careful' with the Mario licence...

I have thought about the idea before, even the gameplay.. I think a choice for the player betweek 1st and 3rd person would be great, 1st person has better accuracy, 3rd has a greater view of the surroundings etc..

Then items such as lightening where every player lights up and can be seen through walls etc to the person who had the item..

You could pick up fludd and the poltergust 3000 for a different shooting style..

Could be very awesome..

Sounds like a fun game for Wii Motion Plus.
