TLR is far from crap. Try playing a game instead of reading reviews.. maybe check mrstickball's thread about TLR or play it yourself. But wait, you're the girl who thinks SO4 is going to PS3 because of some cover art missing the 360 logo, even though BioShock had "Only of 360" on it and there are multiple people in that thread posting cover art of many of the same games with and without the logo that are exclusive. Even if TLR/etc was crappy and got higher scores, what's that saying about WKC? Ouch.. next time don't buy system for one new IP that hasn't come out yet, especially when that system lacks in that fields genre. It should be bought for multiple games. Stop whining to us...

and nintendogs scored higher than TLR what does that say about that? And HAZE was around the same score. Guess nintendogs is the better game with HAZE being equal

What I don't understand is how hard is it to implement mic support for a game? All online games have the thing.... and why did Level think it would be fine to not have it
| Oniichan said: @Rei - has any of them got online? no. WKC got marked down due to Online communication problem. Man some people are so blind that they cant even read that. Seriously fanboys are silly. They will pick at anything in order to make it look bad. From what Famitsu said the online is their problem. Other then that the offline is solid like all previous Level 5 games. We have yet to see any other reviews but i can assure you that WKC if the online communication isnt fix will get marked down everywhere. Cause after all they have to score the whole game including off and online. |
Dude, I am really not interested in your excuses and damage control. I've just asked a question and that's it.
@Max - Level 5 announced that they will look into having mic support for a future patch. Not 100% though but at least its something they are looking at.
I wish they put it in from the get go cause to many developers now are in the mindset of "Ah we can just add it later with a patch".

Because honestly Japanese developers are lacking behind, this has been said by Japanese developers themselves, there aren't many, if any, Japanese game that's great and seamless online. This is another big reason why I'm worried about GT5.....Either way it's obvious now that L5 probably always had WKC in 2nd plan, their main game is DQIX, they wanna get the contract for DQX Wii so they can make shitloads of money just from that.
For the people who just see the thread title and want to come in here to comment how the score is bad without reading the thread.
The gist of the review from gaf:
--lots of optional content
--big boss battles
--simplistic combat
--customizable combos
--is basically like every other Level 5 RPG.
--Online has chat issues and a reviewer "hopes it will be patched in the future"
-- 30 hours to complete
REVIEWS TRANSLATED>>>>>
Here is another post of the translation I made off the Famitsu scans. For the late comers.
First guy: The White Knight Keren and the enemy Boss' powers are good. The offline play is well balanced and can be played without having to strain oneself, but there are several little annoying aspects of the game play. The online play where you can talk and adventure with friends in realtime could use an auto battle and auto run system. Its difficult to chat while running around or fighting.
score 7
Second guy: Being able to make your own combos, change your AC, and developing individual skills through battle is fun. The large enemies in the game are amazingly powerful. The online chat is difficult to do but they set up the online like a social networking site (SNS) and there seems to be the possibility for large network communication.
score 8
third guy: The fight scenes with the large monsters in the beautiful game world are powerfully intense. The main story and cut scenes are easy to follow. Because you can use mail or the journal as soon as you log online it should be easy to communicate with others. Its okay that the battle system is simple but it tends to be dull. Its good that weapon/armor compatibility and strengthening can be done easily.
score 7
fourth guy: The battle system as promised is uncomplicated with its several aspects so it is easy to get into. Combining the different skills is fun. But I would have liked for the menus and battle commands to be more polished. The online play depending on the version... (cant read last part, sorry)
score 7
