The best selling PS3 game to date is Grand Theft Auto 4 at just over 5 Million units ... If Gran Turismo 5 passes 7 Million units I would be surprised

I find it hard to believe 50% or more of PS3 owners will be buying GT5.

PREDICTIONS:
360 will outsell PS3 YTD for 2008. (CHECK!)
360 will have the best showing at E3 & TGS in 2009
2009 will be another year for the 360 over PS3
End OF 2009 SALES :: 360 - 40M; PS3 - 30M; Wii - 70M

GT2 was for PS not PS2
A 300$ PS3 can help the series a lot. With today's price...I don't think so!

8-9 millions is likely the case... not 10

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

Best racing game this gen, there is no competition. =)
MGS4 already(less then in a year) did 4 mln., is there any reason, why GT5 won`t make 10?

It will be out in a year, so it will be 1/3 of gamers, in theory, but of course those 10m will come over a few years, so by the time is does reach 10m, the install base will probably be closer to 60m (hopefully)
