I learned a great lesson from HOME ...... not everything that expected to be awsome is really awesome.

Um... this is 2008, so anything announced this year I wouldn't really consider to be "old news" for a 2009 release.

And, haven't we heard about Halo Wars since 2006, and Alan Wake since 2004?  And basically nothing else major from MS at all (although Ninja Blade is major I hope), because, they claim, they are holding their cards?

Did you even read the original post? The same "crap" that I am talking about is that 2009 will be big for the PS3, just like 2007 and 2008 were supposed to be big for them too.

IGN AU posted an article claiming that the PS3 "won" 2008 (over the X360 and Wii), in terms of exclusives, from their perspective.  I think there are plenty of media sites (and reviews) who would probably agree.

I think you definition of "big" is, perhaps, a little different than most people's.  Lots of good games this year, for the PS3 and the X360.  Lots of good ones coming next year too.  I call that "big".  The OP is merely stating that there are lots of good reasons to own a PS3 right now, and in 2009.  I agree completely.

ROFLtopic. Thank you for this, OP. Reassurance topic #27752.

Does anyone else laugh at his sig? How will Microsoft have to buy BLu-Ray liscences from Sony if Sony doesn't own it? ROFFLE.

Really? They won 2008? Well excuse me for noticing that the 360 is going to sell more consoles for the year thanks to destroying the PS3 for the holidays. Plus, let's not forget that Gears 2 has outsold Resistance 2, LBP and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift combined...

I agree that the Wii won this year, in terms of quantity.

Exactly. Aren't Sony fanboys raged at IGN AU? Now they're cool for a random 1-person article? Let's see:

Most HD hardware sold: X360, check.

Most HD first-part software sold: X360, check.

Most HD third-party software sold: X360, check.

Ouch.

everyone has a different definition of " Sony will do very well in 2009". A lot of ppl think PS3 did well in 2008 considering the price point. While it might be true, PS3 is certainly not doing well comparing to competition.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
