Forums - Nintendo - Watch a Wii Remote Destroy An LCD TV

I don't see how so many people let go of their Wii Remotes, they must be retarded.

Nintendo still doomed?

ha that is funny, should have been wearing his strap. I bet he never makes that mistake again.

but $2000 i seriously doubt that. Heck my brother just bought a 50" 1080p plasma for 1300 counting the sales tax.  Prices on tv's are down big right now

what an idiot I cannot see how people can just let go of their remotes even without the strap

Wait untill it happens to you....you never expect these kindsof things dude. They just happen out of the blue. Speaking from experience, I broke my buddy's LCD with a fucking bag of nuts before. The 700 bones I had to pay to replace it didn't sit too well with me.

?

May I ask how?.... I'd have guessed you perhaps dropped some nuts into the air vents or something, (and salt conducts electricity) except the air vents on thin LCD tvs are not exaclty huge like on our TV (32" flat screen, but it is almost as deep as it is wide)

Edit:
Actually it looks real to me, it could be a good fake, but watch the slow replay at the ned a few times, it sounds and looks real enough (sounds like he hit the remote on a table or something first, which is what caused it to fly out his hand)

it's fake right?

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Yeah I would totally cry. I think it would traumatize me.

This is why I don't let my nephews play my Wii.

yea throwing the remote isn't hard at all. I have thrown 1 before, adn a coupe of my friends as wlel. Those wiimotes are surprisingly well made, they went flying super fast into the wall. missed tv every time so lucky.

Now when playing like wiisports or game taht possible always wear strap.

Let's just say throwing a bag of hazelnuts around a room at eachother isn't the best idea when there is a TV there. You should have seen my face. Probably the saddest way I've ever spent 700 dollars.

Very?

Its really easy to hurt yourself though. Ive hit myself in the head a few times. Playing while drunk is awesome lol

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Who plays so close to their TV anyway? Also, if he paid $2000 USD for that TV, he got royally screwed by the salesman.
