Forums - Nintendo - Wii Motion + Games

The games that are confirmed to use Wii Motion + thusfar are (let me know if there are any more and I'll add them):

Wii Sports Resort

The Conduit

Red Steel 2

EA's Tennis Title

When do you think we'll start seeing more about games that take advantage of this hardware (or for that matter, actually see something from RS2--aside from "we're working on it")?   I've been thinking GDC might have big announcements for it this year because I know if i were a game dev, this hardware would have me drooling.  Also last year Cliffy B. chose to unveil Gears 2 at GDC, so its not unheard of for announcements of this nature to happen there.  Maybe RS2 will be this year's Gears 2: Bigger, badder, and less waggletastic.

GDC is one month later this year though (in late March instead of late February), and I hope that there are announcements before that, just so we can have some sweet games coming along side WSR and The Conduit by the summer.  Anybody have any predictions in this regard, or other games to add to the list?

So far the Wii Motion +'s games are full of win.

Cant wait.

EA has confirmed it's use in as yet untitled new Tennis game

Most likely to see it used in Tiger Woods '10 but that's not 100% confirmed yet.

i think EA have said they are making a tennis/wimbledon game from it.

however we know that many more devs have the motion+ kit

I'm sure TW '10 will too; but yeah I'm only gonna post confirmed titles.

That one does have me very excited though... I love the franchise (the PS2 ones were great, and I almost bought the '09 wii version, but then Wii motion + was announced, so I figured I'd hold off), and I'm thinking TW 2010 for Wii could actually improve my swing in real life.

I could see Red Steel 2 really delivering, because the problems with the original games were problems that have largely been worked through by now: spotty graphics, relatively bad motion controls, and a lack of online play. If all of those had been fixed, Red Steel woud have been great

So long as Ubisoft puts effort into the sequel on the graphical front (up in the air, i suppose), the rest should resolve itself. That game could have kicked ass online

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Me too.  Between WM+ and Balance Board (optional) use they could track your swing quite percisely and possibly, with TW's coach as in '09, improve your reallife golf swing.   If that's the case sales for TW will go through the roof.
