splinter cell: conviction and alan wake.
I actually think Infinity Ward will pump out some amazing graphics next year. Thats a multiplatform game thats going to look better then most exclusives.

In B4 Twes, Ronster, bad, SHM, Dales, & Infamous...Oh wait... o_o

Not quite this time seraphic lol, what happened? did your computer freeze or somthing when you clicked on refresh?

No.

The Playstation 2 is just about tapped out....But it's taken 8 YEARS to do that. Why expect the X360 to have it's power tapped in 3?

Are X360 games getting 'saturated' - to the point that graphics increases may be minimal? We're probably getting there in 09. But the fact is, if a team wants to improve on every other game, the horsepower still exists to improve.

It'd be incredibly asinine to say that it's reached it's peak in 3 years...Given the knowledge that God of War 2 came out 6 years into the PS2's lifespan.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I'm still waiting for "that" Rare powerhouse on the 360!

They know how to exploit everything a system can offer. You guys remember Star Fox Adventures, Donkey Kong Country, Conker's Bad Fur Day and many more? ^^

The new Banjo game looks amazing. And the worlds are huge.

The people who made Gears 2 say it hasn't, so I guess not.

Uncharted doesn't look as good as many Xbox 360 games. MGS 4 will probably have an improved release for the 360.

I think that's highly unlikely given the space issues related with dvd discs

The bottleneck for graphics is CPU, GPU, RAM and development cost, not disc space.

I agree, but there's the usual framedrop when you go on the water and all, which makes me sad. :(

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

As far as graphical power, the PS3 isn't far off from the 360. The PS3 only has a slight edge there. As far as space on the disc...well thats another story.

Oh, one should note....Most of the games that came out this year started production in 2006, and early 07 at latest. How much knowledge about X360 hardware was accumulated in 2 years?

We're still in second generation X360 games - Games made shortly after the X360 launched. The knowledge base, and experience of the developers isn't where it will be at the end of the generation - SDKs still have a ways to go for optimization.

One can only wonder what kind of graphics & optimization we'll see from games just going into development today, and in the next few months.
