I know a lot of guys who take the position of rather playing a female character because they'd prefer to look at the backside of a female all day rather than a male.
Personally, I've always picked a mix depending on what I'm playing. For Guild Wars, I have a variety of male and female characters. They're often based on whatever look I want to go for or possibly the particular dance of the male or female gets of a profession. For the latest chapter I went with all male because I wanted an elementalist with an afro and the two new professions had Jackson's Beat It dance & Christopher Walken's dance in the Fatboy Slim video. They also had the better designs for the new males. The females were pretty fugly.
If there's no outside factors, I'll pick a female character over a male.
To cash in my CC rewards points for $300 in Circuit City gift cards to purchase a 360 or not: That is the question.
I was sure I clicked on Gaming Discussion. Can this be moved?

LOL....my cousin had an a girl as a avatar I think Joanna from Perfect Dark Zero...and as I would play Uno on Xbox Live Arcade...people would just let me win or send nasty messages to me....I was like WTF yo cousin you got to change your avatar!!!!
I generally pick both. It depends on the looks of the character, if the female version looks better I'll pick it, but if the guy looks cooler, I'll pick it too.
In MMORPG, being a girl can have its benefits... geeks give you free items and zeny if you are their "friend"...
I just don't get this guys, who would prefer virtual female friends when you can have real female friends?...
...
Ok, reading my last sentence, I get it...
