Forums - Nintendo - List the best way on how to fix the Wii memory problems

It is a little hassle to have to either copy games back and forth from sd to system or re-download.  There needs to be a better way.  I think that with this issue people are less inclinded to purchase more games once their system memory fills up.  It may not prevent all people from purchasing but I believe it prevents some.  I would suggest to either be able to play the games from sd card or that they release a hard drive.  I think the hard drive option would be the best way for Nintendo to try and prevent you from sharing VC games.  I am not even sure if you can take your sd card to a friends console and transfer them onto their system.  I am sure they probably have something to prevent that.

I know hard drive or being able to play from sd card would be the most easy way (or only) but was wondering what the best option would be.  For those who already have sd cards I suppose the latter would be better option possibly.  From what I can see is that a 4 GB sd card can hold a ton of WW/VC games.

2.5'' hard drives would be the best way IMO

we wont see a hard drive for the wii, nintendo themselves stated that. All they have to do is allow us to save and play vc games directly to the sd card. But didn't they announce that they would fix it sometime in 09?

They need to release an official 2GB Nintendo Wii SD Card that can only be used on the Wii from which you can load your downloaded games and gamesaves.

It can't be used for piracy, but it will fix the rather severe storage problem.
