Speaking of Shadow Hearts, the "What's Your Favourite RPG" made me dust off my old copies of Shadow Hearts and Shadow Hearts Covenant for a new playthrough in both

Since i'm currently finishing my Secret of Mana, Solo Girl, Low Level Game challenge, i'll play with Shadow Hearts for a while before Skyrim drops this Friday.

For which platform, if any, are you people going to get Skyrim?

@Robo - As much as I love the new Zelda 3DS, I can't afford any new consoles until next year  

Skyrim just arrived 2hrs ago by courier it came with two Elder Scrolls books The Infernal City and Lord of Souls by Greg Keyes , just popped it in the PS3 and it is doing a 58 MB update to version 2.00.

Is that patch only for console versions or does the PC also have a day one patch?

@lestatdark, thats cool, i really like the shadow hearts series, i wish a new game or a hd collection would come out of this series. :)

i bought skyrim on the 360 since i have the achievements for oblivion on the 360. the games seem to play better on a 360, from my past of bethesda games.

Yes day one patch for all 3 ,from what I've heard it's mainly a lot of small stuff , things that we would hardly notice by themselves but taken in total makes it run better , I'm also getting the PC version off Steam .

Does anyone know much about the books and there relationship to the games IE what  timeline they use and whats the author like.

I'm having a unexpected feeling about Skyrim, the more I play it the more I'm going off it. I just dont feel involved with anything in the game. The environments just arnt that good comPared to the likes of dark souls and uncharted 3, the people I've spoken to just don't have any personalities and I just don't care about them. I'm finding myself walking around for long periods of time doing nothing atall but stiffly wondering about which means I'm hardly levelling up as I'm not doing anything.
I'm trying my hardest to get into the game because I've been looking forward to this release an I do t want to give up on it now I've got it.

I'm actually on the opposite side. The more I play it, the more I get into it, just like it happened with Oblivion and Morrowind. The world starts to feel more and more natural and from then on, every new tidbit just adds to the fun. 

How far in are you , I usually recommend to people who aren't converts to stick with the main quest early on ,( My tip early on do the gold claw quest it makes returning there easier after you  see the Jarl ) at least you have purpose and then you can do other stuff, don't forget use is the key to levelling up.
