Forums - Gaming - Unique games won't pay off?

Gamers always demand unique games.Everything should always be new and unique, and most sequels are just swear-words.

Many publisher, like EA, have been worst creativity killers with every years sports games with minor updates.

These accusations have been justifed, by not taking many risks, because games always sell, right?

So if publishers would bring more unique and new games to market, they would sell like water in desert, right?

For last few years,EA has changed it image and mode of operation. It has paid attention for all gamers cry for new and unique games, and has started to produce them.Even every year sports games have been updated greatly.

This year we have got Army of two,Mirror's Edge,Dead Space,Spore and Boom Blox, which all have been unique and new.Even older series, like Burnout have had very much diffrence from previous games.

Well what happend?

EA finaly tries to do what gamers demand, and results are bad:EA have to dismiss 600 employeers.Of course its more likely that this happend because of crisis we are having now, and most of those games have sold good.

Same goes for Sony:LittleBigPlanet is so new and unique game, that its like Tv with colours 60 years ago,and still it haven't sold that much,1m is not bad,but if you coun't bundles and all hype...

So when you next time cry for more unique and new games, you better buy them! How else you justify cry, that new and unique games won't pay off?
Nothing is more criminally than demanding new and unique games while insulting new sequels without getting them.

Here is where we gamers have the power:it makes profit, what you buy.

So remember to reward puplishers for trying more new and unique. If they stop, what do you do?

Yeah, EA changed for the better and their financial situation changed for the worse. Meanwhile, Activision is making bank whoring out Guitar Hero like there's no tomorrow.

I like your new sig, btw. I can watch that guy fall on his head all day.

Most games you mentioned sold just fine and will have sequels.
