Very cool. Makes you wonder what Nintendo is planning with this feature. It seams that with the Wiimote + Keyboard the Wii is the next best thing to PC controls.

And they work with PS3 as well if you know by any chance? Is yours wireless with USB wireless connection in the WII?

I don't see how the that could be any better than the wiimote + nunchuck (unless you need more buttons)

the thing that makes keyboard and mouse so good is the mouse, not the keyboard... 

EDIT: This is actually really nice. I love keyboards on 'devices'. Watchout, the Wii is more than a 'game' console now, you can type on it tho!

Also, I want to point out, that what I say below this point, is not necessarily a good thing. I feel it's great. However if I was 12... I would not. (or if I had a 12 year old)

On a serious note. That's the truth. When we get a... annoying 'child' on there, most of me and my buddys just start makeing some great semi-racial slurs not directed at anybody or anything, just saying things like that, and normally mommy or daddy hear it and you all of a sudden hear a "WHAT WERE YOU DOING!?!" Or, they leave the room very quick in fear they will hear. It's like... Better than a 'ignore' button Halo3 has. It's a 'Goodbye' voice command!

And on that point. I can just as easily type F*** as I can say it. I promise you, I can type at around 80wpm. I can type as fast as I can talk, but the main diffrence is, I cuss more when I type than when I talk.

Oh yeah, and for those of you who are thinking 'you play with your teenager buddies'. I race with 2 people over 50 almost every day, 2 in their 40's 2 in their 20's and one 16 year old, that I love to get in trouble displaying obscene pictures in chat with him. (I love them all, but I cant help myself sometimes being mean)

Kiddies would NEVER have access to the PSN since it's rated "M" - just like all the GTA and Manhunt games that kiddies of course have never played. Their parents are just so good at this parenting bit, you know?

I'll have to get my hands on a keyboard to try it out. When they say it "doesn't work in the browser", I guess they mean directly - like any PC. I can't see why it wouldn't work in the "system" text entry dialog.

Have to say this, this is something about Ninty that I really like - they actually CAN surprise you. Both MS & Sony will have this stuff out on a roadmap for months - and the chances are, people will be let down by an update. But if we aren't expecting anything - then its almost certainly a nice surprise!

One of my buddies dresses up like a 40 year old gay bald man, one dresses up like a 58 year old gay geezer, another bitches about his grand-kids all day. I'm sure their 12 just like all the other kiddies on the PSN. *sigh* There is video chat on the PSN. Some of us actually form 'friends' with people on the internet and get to know people. Ya'know, when you race with someone for god-knows-how-many-hours, you form a bond. I assure you. I would *NEVER* stay the night with my closest guy friend on the PSN. (just becuase he's really really REALLY gay, and I would be afraid he would try something on me in my sleep)

Well there's also a downside, if you own a freeloader and import Cube games, you can't play them anymore after the update... "surprise" :D
