It's intense not scary.
No.
It's only 'scary' from the aspect of you going gung-ho in an area, only to find yourself being attacked from behind by a Tank or Smoker.
It's probably the least scary 'zombie' game ever created, other than maybe Endless Zombie Rampage. However, it is very intense.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
It's more a 'tense' game than a scary one. Did you ever play Resident Evil 4? It's not even as scary as that.
its very intense. i was on the edge of my seat almost the entire way thrugh a campaign
It can be scary if it's late and completely dark, but it's more intense, adrenaline filled fun. I'd get it, it's a great co-op experience.
My Games of 2011:
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Super Mario 3D Land
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
The game's not scary. It is intense though, with all those zombies charging at you.
However, you might get a shock at the start if you don't know what a hunter is or what a witch is (and does), but if you do, there's nothing scary about attracting the attention of one of them.
Also, the fact that you're with 3 other team mates helps to take away from the scares (but not the difficulty).
No, it's definitely not scary. It can be violent (lots of blood splattering everywhere) and intense (100 zombies sprinting at you) but not scary like zombies jumping out of corner just to give you a fright.
It's just a FPS where you kill zombies. At first I thought it was stupid and didn't understand it but once I got the hang of it, it was and still is the best fun I've had this generation.
Definitely check it out, this game gets nothing but praise from people...
There are some jump/scary moments (I almost crapped my pants the first time the zombies broke through the walls in the hospital) but it's not really a scary game, it's just a *really* tense game.
You will be seriously sitting on the edge of your chair the entire time even after multiple playthroughs. Knowing what's coming makes it almost worse, especially it's the end of the level and you haven't seen a tank or witch yet.
Whatever the case, if you own a 360 or a PC that can handle this game there's no excuse not to have it.
Agreed that it's more tense than scary. However, it is scary enough that my girlfriend won't let me play it when she's in the room... so at least a bit scary, for those who aren't totally desensitized by now.

It actually scares me still, but that's because anything zombies freaks me out.
