Forums - Sony - Sony comments on Home tech troubles.

PSUNews: "SCEA Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media Patrick Seybold has made a statement on the Official PlayStation Blog responding to the issues some users have accessing PlayStation Home.

"We are aware that some people may be experiencing difficulty in accessing the PlayStation Home beta at present," Seybold writes. "This is due to overwhelming demand for the service as people access Home for the very first time since it became Open Beta and appeared on the XMB."

"While we prepare solutions to ease the problem, you may continue to experience difficulties accessing Home. We kindly ask for your patience as we work to meet the incredible demand for this revolutionary service."

With over million of users all trying to jump into the Home Open Beta, technical troubles aren't all that surprising. Hopefully Sony will have things running smoothly soon."

Good to hear.

Good to hear indeed. Kinda expected this to happen with so many PS3 users jumping into the open beta on day 1. Im just sad i lost all my HOME gifts that i won from Namco. I had a Pac-Man and Galaga arcade machine in my house and some nice Namco threads. Now i gotta win them again :*(

Fair enough--the chief complaints seem to be with the slow download speeds, which could reasonably be expected to be alleviated once millions aren't downloading at once.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Normally it would but i can forgive as its a beta after all. These things happen so you tend not to get attached to those things.. hahaha. Ill win them again eventually. haha

A little to late.

In fact, I'm impressed that there are no more trouble. I expected much more connection issues, freeze, etc etc and once your connected (I got to try "only" 3 or 4 times to get connected), you have no problem. Really, it could have been worst!

Now this is true, infact the way sonys been doing things i expected total chaos to be honest, but it wasnt, just poorly excuted. none-the less it was fairly solid.
