Also there's a not-insignificant factor that those looking for core games know to ask for them (and they're almost always shoved away in the storeroom).

I dunno, maybe it's just different up here in Canada, but I don't find it particularly hard to find whatever game I'm looking for on the Wii. Didn't have any trouble finding Okami, NMH or Madworld when they released. Unless you're expecting to still see them on the shelves and from a retail standpoint that's just silly. They barely sold when they were actually new and Okami and NMH are both a year(or more for NMH) old now.

doesnt seem to apply in stores specialising in game. my local gamestaion had big displays for de blob and the had more copies of ovekill on display than killzone 2. at the moment they have 2 big poster sin their window, one for madworld (which is their top selling wii game) and one for DS. things are different at different stores
