Exactly. The time will come, but simply put, for the general gamer right now it is not the time to buy a PS3.

It's all about the game.

off topic: hey, now whenevever people say sales dont matter we can use DQX! awesome
nintendo fanboy, but the good kind
proud soldier of nintopia
So this means that Wii sold about 15% of it's total Life Time sales in the US in 1 month. WTF?
It's been out for 24 months, if supply was to be like this Wii would be over 50kk!
But I know it's the holiday rush, still my point stands, Wii sales would have been way higher if supply was there. Nintendo needs to up the production while the Wii remains the hot item for everyone.
Third parties should start focusing on the Wii, THIS is proof that the Wii will sell how much you put on sale.
Sony already knew these numbers, hence the thousands of people who were laid off earlier this week
Is this the biggest November ever? Did the PS2 ever post more than 2 million in November in the US alone?

We haven't yet seen the restructuring plans for the gaming division. I'd say they're likely unless Sony decides they're the untouchable division.

It's easy to understand, it just sounds more colorful in peoples minds if they create a conspiracy around it.
To NPD hardware sales: how much would the Wii have sold last year if it was fully supplied???
Wow Wii Wow. PS3 not so much :(. Can't wait to hear Sony's spin.

Because when the ps3 was "dying" in 2007, they realized they had to cut price, which is why we saw the $399 price introduction. |
Yeah but if the company lost $3Billion in the past 2 and a half years on the PS3 they would just lose more and more if they price cut. In fact if the did cut price MS would most likely follow suit. If that happened that could put Sony down for the count for good. Sony are a business, they want to make money not be number one because they know they can't be. And they know it is looking more and more certain they won't be number 2 either. The harsh thing for Sony is people such as yourself assume that when the PS3 does drop in price = Sony sells loads. As i mentioned before this November in USA alone 3MILLION people almost bought a new console, and not 1 of them was a PS3, that should speak volumes to you about what the general public think about the console.
