Forums - General - Tuning Bravia TVs

Hello Bravia fans! I'm hoping this site will have some.

My parents recently bought a new 82cm Bravia and it's my responsibility to tune the TV. We have five channels here that offer digital broadcasts: 2, 7, 9, 10 and 28. I multiplied those numbers by 10, and used increments of 1 after each major channel for channel variants.

For some reason, the Bravia sorts channels by ignoring leading zeroes and then by magnitude. Instead of 020, 070, 090, 100, 280, I get:

100
.
.
020
.
.
280
.
.
070
.
.
090
.
.

With ".."s denoting channel variants.

Is there any way to get these in a more logical order? I tried using the sorting feature, but that seems to swap the broadcasts and not the channel numbers. I tried manual tuning, but that results in the above order. I couldn't find anything else in the manual related to it.

Wow, I'm a huge Sony Bravia guy myself, but mine doesn't do that. What model do you have?

I don't know, and I'm not at my parents' place at the moment. It's an 82cm model with a built in tuner, downmixing for 5.1 channel sound, a <HOME> button and HDMI inputs. I'm pretty sure it's a KDL32S4000.
