Forums - General - Anime vs American animation.

Let me make sure I'm getting this right. So your argument is that due to their gigantic conglomerate super-corporation and endless cash and millions of animators, Disney's animation is greater than everything that ever came out of Japan, and this makes you proud as an American?

First, you're comparing an ugly television show to a big budget movie.

Hey everybody, which of these looks better?

I will choose anything hand drawn over any CGI animation. Hand drawn animation is actual art to me. CGI is zeros and ones. Disney has gotten rid of what I call true animation all together. Screw them and Pixar and the rest. I give you the finger along with all of the out of work animators.

I would say that British stop motion prevails over Japanimation and American, the effort which goes into Aardman's animations is incredible, every inch of the sets hand built, no corners cut using CGI, runs at the highest framerate (25fps). Its what is keeping stop motion alive!
