Nothing beyond that point was worth my time.

I enjoy both. I like the range that Japanese animation has in regards to storytelling, but I like the quality of animation of Americans more. Most anime uses the same chickenshit techniques that Hannah Barbera used back in the days. Repeating backgrounds, sliding characters, repeating character animations, having only one part of the body move in certain instances, etc. Artistically it's very pretty but it's poor animation for the most part. On the flipside, Pixar makes the best stories in all of animation IMO, but the quality drops severely after their films in american animation.
One word and one acronym... Megas XLR
The Weeaboos have nothing that can counter Megas
This thread has failed in many ways as already mentioned.
We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke
It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...." Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson
I can't stand Japanese Anime but Disney started sucking after The Beaty & the Beast and Dreamworks also mostly sucks.
A Bug's Life and Finding Nemo were cool though, although this thread maybe is only about cartoons.
Okay, first, I used to watch naruto and I can say its not well animated, usually, there are like 6 episodes in which the animation sucks 1 thats passable, 6 more that suck, and there are like 10 episodes in which the animation is awesome, like the gaara vs lee fight, sasuke vs naruto, etc... Frame to frame it looks like crap, but in motion its awesome.
Second, I bet there are many countries in which goku is more important than mickey mouse.
Third, you compare a series with a movie, compare ben 10 with naruto.
I enjoy american animation but I have found more depth in japanese one.

Anime hands down. There is no comparrison.

Oh, and I can see why people hate japanese animation, there are some sucky cartoons and after growing up I have found a lot of them stupid, but there are ones like rurouni kenshin(the ova isthe best for me) and movies like spirited away that are amazing.

American animation doesn't really seem to capture emotions like Anime does, at least not any more...... Disney's 2D films were almost always great and sometimes very emotional... But most Anime to this day can capture the viewers feelings and play with them... (Ex: Elfen Lied, Trigun, ect.)
I was only gonna say Elfen lied..... but Trigun was just so great I couldn't leave it out!

here is the sad part, this korean animation in my thread beats all American shows in terms of emotion and its jsut a flash series. Actualy the funniest aprt is its better animated than most American cartoons...
