I was talking to my cousin today about consoles, and about his plan to buy a PS3 he is a casual gamer but always tend to like Sony games especially GT and GoW.

And we have talked about times of the PS1 and all the games that we have played togheter as young kids, and i remember that one of my favourite PS1 games was MediEvil , that game was just pure fun platform game that had a lot of humor in it, the game seemed very popular and i am suprised that, there was no MediEvil game last gen.

I know the original was remade for the PSP, but im just curious why Sony never attempted to bring MediEvil back to life on consoles. Or maybe we will see another game in the future?

I hope they do make a third game, they were so awesome.

I bought the original MediEvil of off the PSN store. Such a classic.

Medievil is one of my brothers favorite games ever, i've seen him beat it plenty times...he didnt like the sequel as much...
It would be nice to see the game make a comeback, if it was ps3 exclusive I wonder what my brother would do...

I bought it for the psp and I had a great time tough I don't really want an HD medievil, it's better in the memory ^^

I love the game, but unfortunately I think the franchise is dead.

I heard Sony took it off the retail chain about 8 years ago because they updated the hardware. Dumb move in my opinion, becaue the legs on this game could have been immense. It may have even been a system seller for future hardware.

MediEvil was epic :( I miss MediEvil

good to know that people have enjoyed that game as much as i did, i think problem lies with Sony's marketing and strategy, looking at their first party offerings most of their studios are working on mature games taht will appease the hardcore.

good that they still have games like R&C and LBP but games like Medievil have been replaced by GoW, Resistance etc. etc.

I played a demo of the original on a demo disc I got with a Playstation Magazine, it was pretty cool! I would love to play the game, maybe if I ever get a chance with the PSP version, I will.
I think a new game on PS3 might work, I mean, there's some fanbase there, they just have to put a lot of effort into the game, and push the advertising. Maybe it's not as simple as that, but it would be nice.
