Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What was the hardest Zelda game of all time?

I think it has to be zelda 1 or 2 out of the 2D ones but out of the 3D ones its no doubt majoras mask with so many sidequests yet only 4 dungeons.

The hardest Zelda game for me would have to be Link to The Past. The final boss seem impossible to kill at that time when I first played it.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

ocarina of time . couldint beat it without a walkthrough

Zelda II remains one of the most frustrating games I've ever played.

BAM! There it is!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, because it's the only Zelda game I have played.

i'd say out of the zelda's i played (sorry, havn't played zelda II, too scared too.) the hardest was oot the master quest. all they did in that one was cleverly place the enemies to make it more difficult to deal with them.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

The knights actually had a huge flaw in their design that made them simple. Jump then stab on the way down. works every time.

If you ran into one of these, you just left the dungeon and came back, tried again and got a red bottle.

Actually, most the things that made this game hard had an exploit, but even with the exploits, the game was freaking hard.

Do you mean downward thrust or stab?  I thought their helmets protected them from downward thrusts (plus you needed to cast Jump to be able to jump high enough).  I didn't think jump stabbing worked that well since they didn't get pushed back far enough and you slid into them recovering from the jump.  Maybe I was just too close.

Now I want to try this again.  Is the D-pad on the Wiimote precise enough or should I get the classic controller?  (Last time I played was with an emulator using a gamepad with a very sloppy D-pad).

The Wiimote D-pad is all you need. I play all my NES VC games with it and Mega Man 9 also. It also brings out the nostalgia because it's so much like a NES controller.

I mean, jump then stab on the way down, not downthrust. When you are coming down from the jump, they lower their sheild and you stab at that exact moment. Also, are we talking about the same knights? I'm really talking about Iron Knuckles, but I figured I'd just use the same term everyone else was using.

I also played with the Wii Remote only.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
