The Japan exclusitivity was Sonys way of keeping some dignity from losing one of their crown jewels

Square said themselves that XIII hasn't even been ported to the PS3 yet, so it'd be entirely feasable that they decide to port both at the same time and save $$$ due to localizing at the same time.

Based on Japanese 360 sales opposed to PS3, SquareEnix is basically asking for (at most) only 33% of the sales they would have gotten if the game were multiplatform.

 

There's no point in arguing that the 360 is more capable of selling software than the PS3 ,a game like XIII with mass apeal will never sell as much on the 360 as it will on the PS3 ; the sales figures speak for themselves.

I'm assuming your referring to Japan since that's the only place where FF is exclsuvie. You said SE is only going to get 33% of the sales they would have gotten had FF been multiplatform , that would mean the 360 would outsell the PS3 at a ratio of 2:1 , impossible.

Unless i miss understood something.

 

You need to go back and actually read my post, instead of skim. You'll get confused if you only read the conclusion without reading all the statements made before it. You're basically making my argument by posting sales stats.

 Doubtful... EVERY Japanese gamer that will buy this game will buy it for the Ps3 before a port comes. To port it to the 360 for 10k sales of the US marines in japan would be pointless.

The NA 360 is sold on millitary bases, not the JP 360.

MS will pay to have it on the JP 360 just to tick Sony off.

^ So? Do they also get the NA titles or do the buy the Japanese ones? If they have to wait for the US release then forget it getting the 10k sales.
