^ Your best counter point you could have made for C. was it was released in Nov for christmas. (Which still doesnt excuse more sales in half the time on one console)

You just dont know your games.

B. No I said GTA was the biggest hyped game of the year (Remember you are the one who brought LBP in this convo)

A. LBP was never suppose to outsell ANY GTA4's... well maybe PC's

Nah. The key point here I wanted to remark on is that successive DLC packs will keep bolstering GTA4 sales and at the end it won't be that far from GTA:SA. If I really wanted to kill ya I'd just have mentioned the userbase, the ps2 was around 70 million when GTA:SA launched while both the ps3 and the 360 together barely scrapped 40 million for GTA4. GTA:SA enjoyed extraordinary legs on a platform that eventually was over 120 million when the next installment landed.

I brought LBP into this because the double standard displayed by some when considering GTA4's sales (dead lulz) vs. a game which is selling at a similar pace but which legs are regularly called "great" around here.

AKA if LBP selling 100k/week a month after launch is "great" I don't see why GTA4 is "dead" when it is selling the same 100k/week 8 months after it was released.

So let me get this straight.... You wanted to make a point the DLC will be successful by saying it is selling 100k a week on both platforms when one of those platforms wont get the DLC you are talking about but you threw in LBP because of your point about 100k weekly would make successful DLC and the game is selling just as well.... Really just sounds like you were trying to take a JAB at lbp to me.

You do realize to get to GTA4's expected sales while selling at 100k a week the game would need to sell for 100more weeks. Yes this game was expected to sell more than 20mil because it was multiplatform which was suppose to give it a bigger install base and it was suppose to be THE BEST GTA EVAR!

No, it mostly sounds like you want to turn this thread into a huge derail crapfest. Reading the post backwards just isn't enough of a bait.

DMJ can't get away with calling GTA4 "dead" while basking on the sales of LBP which is selling at the same level. Now that's relevant to the thread.

So, either support DMJ on "GTA4 is dead" or not. Anything else is off-topic.

I bought the 360 version over ps3 version because I was excited for the DLC, I loved this series.  Then i played the game and have no interest in buying the dlc.  No matter what the dlc looks like, I think this is one of the very few bad investments msft has made this gen.

I was just on Wikipedia and it is cited that this demo will revolve around a biker in "The Lost" gang that appeared in some of the missions from GTA 4. Rockstar always comes up with these interesting characters who give a different perspective in to the criminal world. I cant wait to play this DLC.

I thought the only perspective of the criminal world in GTA was that pretty much everyone needs Niko Bellic to kill some guys by himself. The new perspective will be: a biker needs to kill some guys.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

I loved GTA 4, but I can understand how some people disliked it. It was the same for the previous installments. Complaints galore. Crappy aim system, buildings materializing out of no where, insanely difficult missions and so on. Well, you cant please everyone.

The fact of the matter is GTA 4 is the most expensive game to date. It has the most in game music, and the most dynamic city ever created in the gaming world. In a way I was disappointed that they took out some of the elements to go for a more realistic approach, but it was a small sacrifice for everything else gamers got in return.

Anyhow, Im sure the DLC is going to rock. And I bet fans will go nuts if Rockstar announces the inclusion of planes or tanks. Its a possibility. Hell, with Rockstar they always got some tricks up their sleeves. I would love to have the jet pack back in the game as well. Or something new and unexpected. We'll just have to wait and see.

The most dynamic city ever created in the gaming world was also the most boring...

Seriously I don't care about a technology feat when it isn't fun!

Now why the fuck do we have to pay extra for shit we already had in previous GTA's?

OT:

I think the DLC will suck hard.

More of the same boring trash.
