MS revealed that the Gears 2's sales approaching 3mil. 

On VGC the sales stands at 3.3 mil.

I have the feeling that Gears 2 is way overtracked on VGC.

Hmmm being off by roughly 300K isn't that bad especially considering that it is software which is much more harder to track than Hardware.

300k? I dont think so, remember the "shipped" vs "sold" theory, yea its more than just 300k, as much as Id hate to say it, thats what vgchartz says, and taking in the sites theory, GEARS 2 isnt sold out, therefore it hasnt reached 3M consumer sales.

well if this number is shipped then, yes it is over tracked by at least 500k. If this is sell through then it is close enough to not bother adjusting (maybe 100k either way)

There is a difference between sold to retailers, and sold to consumers. The data that MS has is the 'sold to retailers', so Gear of War 2 is WAY overtracked i think, definitely more than just 300k
