Not much. Though you never know. If the PS3 doesnt catch up to 360 next year its all over.

That will be the outcome if they dont start selling PS3. If PS3 is matching 360 sells by 09 it all over for them. Better luck next gen.

I doubt 360 will be discontinued as quickly as the Xbox was. Maybe a year or maybe even 2 after 720. Plus PS4 will be out in 10 years so....
PS3 is fighting a very difficult battle.

So you are using bundles to show that the PS3 is cheaper than the 360 elite? I can find a 360 elite bundle which will show that the elite is cheaper than the PS3 (in the bundle you stated above):

A bundle nowhere near compensates a price cut. If the PS3 truly was £200, it would blow the 360 out of the water in Europe.

$50 dollars off will do almost nothing, $100 off we should see ps3's sales skyrocking. i know a bunch of ppl just waiting for the price to drop to a reasonable amount here in america.

i still believe that the only thing that stopping ps3 from dominating is the price, and once the slim is released which should be around late 2009 or 2010, thats when the sales of ps3 will hit there all time high

i'd agree with you on that, but its a totally hypothetical assumption that will have to remain so, simply because it won't ever happen, Sony cannot afford.

as a business though, the important thing for them is to make the PS3 profitable. and that, for me as a gamer, is the important thing. Yes they may not get third party support that they enjoyed PS2-era, but Sony's own are capable of making the very best games this generation, and that the main deal for me.

shame though, great opportunity, just wrong time.

PS4 will be out way, way before 10 years time. Sony will most likely sell both PS3 and PS4 side by side. I actually can see the PS4 launching first because I think M$ and Nintendo have more work required if they want to make their systems truley next gen.
