Well yeah. I mean do you know anybody who bought the PSP for non-piracy related reasons? I don't.

Note i'm not saying the PSP doesn't have good games. Just everyone I know who has one wouldn't of got one for the games alone. Me, I just don't get handhelds in general.

Wow 8 of the top 10 German titles are DS. I can't even remember the last time 8 of the top 10 Japanese games were DS. Pokemon certainly is taking it's effect across the contenent.

Germanys seecret boom industry
To pet, to feed, to ride. Unnoticed a game market developed with classic little girl subjects..
..The business with "Animal games" is booming. A lot of successfull title are comming from germany...
.. She (manager) is representing the software Studio dtp from Hamburg, which is market leader in the little girl games segment, with games like "Meine Tierpension"* or "Meine Tierartzpraxis". They selling in masses, most publisher of more adult games would be happy with. In the low six figure sum range a lot of the animal games are sold. This numbers are not reached by many action titels...
.. This trend was going visible the first time with the phenomen "Nintendogs", a simulation of puppies for the nintendo ds console...
* "Animal hostel" , "Vet surgery"
This was a very very routh translation of the main points.
Mainly the article also says the games are sold diffrent. They don't have big launch weeks, the sales figures grow after word of mouth advertising. Brand names doesn't matter, good game (play) does (more than in other game markets). Its also saying that, after the success of nintendogs, the german developer porting their games from PC to DS. So expect to see such releases in your country to ;)
