Does indeed look better than 2008, I hope we get some updates on Splinter Cell Conviction soon.

Looks very good, but I am sure much of that is CGI, though I do look forward to being proved wrong

? Halo ODST screenshots are, but the rest no. Especially KUF2. Watch it in HD and you will notice all the usual little things where you can just tell it's in game engine.

EDIT: Gears 2 is most definately not CGI. That is actually someone playing it.

I'll try to buy all of them except Ninja Blade, Forza 3, and Halo Wars :p. The games that I really want is SO4 and Alan Wake.

Those Star Ocean images are definitely CG, though videos of it in action have looked great. Splinter Cel Conviction must be, especially as they have gone back to the drawing board. I am not sure about Alan Wake, I can't remember whether or not in game footage has been shown. Halo Wars does look quite good, but I wouldn't compare it to Gears... that last picture is certainly CG though. I can't say I really know about the rest, though I am certain that Ninja Blade is CGI

Isn't Splinter Cell: Conviction Vaporware?

Didn't they scrap the idea, or totally re-work it or something?

I'd delete that one from this list, as we have no idea what is going on with it right now. >_>

Star Ocean isn't CG.... Splinter Cell, I'm not sure....  Alan Wake isn't CG either though.

Oh yes sorry. (forgot what games I actually posted)

Star Oceans are likely to use CGI. Splinter Cell Convictions shots are a year old. at the time they released SCC used no CGI even in the cutscenes much like Gears 2 doesnt. So SCC are definately ingame engine. Alan Wake you can see is in engine as is Ninja Blade. The giveaway is shadows. When the y occasionally flicker slightly it's the easiest way to tell it's in engine. CGI takes out all the faults like that. What you see in the OP is how these games look in realtime ( albeit some are cutscene realtime). But damn that gameplay footage of KUF2 is god like.

lol @ Gears 2's appearance in the OP.

On a more serious note, Kingdom Under Fire 2 looks as epic as Lost Odyssey's intro, but it looks like it's playable instead! I can't wait to see more of that game.

*EDIT: Oh wait, I see what you did there with the comparison. o.O

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

@ selnor, the Conviction shots matter little as DMJ says they have gone back to the drawing board on it
