It doesn't exactly have to be on the Wii -- I'll have to check out prince of persia as well...

While it is an RPG Skies of Arcadia has some zelda qualities also for open free world games try Shenmue on Dreamcast if you can and Shenmue II on Xbox (also on 360 but the 360 version is buggy)
