Actually it is not bundled in Japan, where it has sold something like 3.2 million copies.

Wow, it really worked. You just proved that Solitaire can't count, because it comes on the HDD and people don't buy a PC to play this game. Otherwise you would have answered the questions with Grand Theft Auto IV for PS3 and Hexic HD for 360. |
Haha, damn... that was epic
Btw, what the hell is Hexic HD? Does it come with all 360's? I bought a Pro last week and I didn't see mention of it anywhere. Just Lego Indiana and Kung Fu Panda...
lilwingman said: This topic makes no sense. "Best selling game"? Uhhh sorry, but that would require it to actually be sold in most regions, instead of given away. |
So wait... can I go into a store and get Wii Sports for free? I always thought I had paid my £180 to get the game and the console.
Wii Sports originally came with the console, it was not added in as a freebie.... when it launched it was comparitively cheaper in Japan because it did not come with the game.

Solitaire is multiplatform, it doesn't count. It comes on PC's, and in a pack of cards, therefore it's eliminated.

Hey, then wii sports is a multiplatform title too! Just buy a tennis racket or go bowling! ;)

No, in real life you can't have yourself as a doubles partner!
RolStoppable said:
Or as partner and opponents. Playing Wii Tennis while controlling all four players is pretty fun. |
Ah yes, that as well. Wii Tennis (and Sports) can do lots of things real life can't!

i agree!

The problem with extreme arguments is that they're based on unrealistic extremes and fall apart by default. Seriously, why would they need to add a "real wheel controller" if the Wiimote can already simulate that with the wheel shell? What's the point of an all purpose controller that can already do that if you're not going to use it? It's a blatantly stupid argument that has no correlation with your conclusion. MKWii already cracked 10 million, so clearly people aren't having a problem with immersion. It's like saying if Halo's shooting was so important, it would come with a gun. Or if Grand Theft Auto's sandbox gameplay was so important, it would come with a real city. It makes no sense. And are you seriously whining that Galaxy found a perfect blend of controls? The reason Galaxy is one of the best games this generation is because it's a perfect marriage of new and old. The motion controls enhance classic Mario gameplay. They're not intrusive. Are you honestly complaining about this? Because if they arbitrarily mapped every function to motion, I'm sure you'd be the first (of many) in this thread whining about how the Wii is stupid and you have tio flail your arms around to do everything. I am honestly baffled how someone can come in here and complain that Mario got it right; that the game isn't some unrealistic extreme with motion forced into every single aspect. Have you even seen a Wiimote? It has several buttons, a D-Pad, and a nunchuck with an analog stick and more buttons. It's obvious to any normal person that the Wii wasn't about pure motion controls, it was about bringing motion to the table, which is why I can safely say that you don't know what innovation is and are simply a poor troll attempting to damage control the Wii's success (as usual) by claiming that it's no succesful because it's best games are not arbitrarily using motion to an extreme level. |
The point was made about immersion because that is what many Wii supporters claim motion controls brings to the table. In fact with Mario Kart Wii you have no need to really use motion control. Simply use the controller like part Mario Kart games and you dont lose anything.
You say that Galaxy provides the perfect balance. OK for you. Yet I say this again proves that motion controls are a nice add-on but not the preferred control method or certainly another game would have came along this year that really was impressive that was made impressive by motion controls not another factor.
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

Actually, I found the motion controls much more fun then the regular controllers. It just feels better. Also, using the Wiimote in Mario Kart Wii actually lets you do tricks, as opposed to no tricks on regular controllers, so yes, you lose something. Not an important something, but still something.
