Forums - PC - Does anyone know were i can get a cheap up to date video card?

I am looking for a video card that will work with Left 4 Dead as well as Tom Clancy's EndWar. I was thinking about a NVIDIA 6600, because it is the minimum video card for bioshock, or NVIDIA Geforce 7900 GT, because that is the suggested video card. So if you could suggest a video card that will work with Endwar and Left 4 Dead I would appreciate it. If you know a good site to buy a cheap video card could you add a link. I finally got an up to date PC and i will finally be able to play PC games, i only need a video card.

You should list the rest of the stats for your computer, what CPU and how much ram and what type are you using.  And also how much money you want to spend on a card, because there is a massive difference between a 6600 and a 7900 series card.

Do you have PCI-Express or AGP? Thats the important question here.

If you have PCI-E, a cheap upgrade is www.newegg.com - search: HD 4670 and get the HIS one for $80.

Oh one last thing, do you have a 6 pin PCI-E connector as well? I presume since your graphics card is so old the rest of your system may not have the needed specifications to run a massive graphics card properly anyway.

6 pin PCI-E connector, yes it does

If thats the case then you'd be better off with something like a 9600gt or 9800gt from Nvidia or HD 4830/50 from AMD (Depending on your budget and needs)

8800gs / 9600gso 384mb if you can find one for $50 or less. i checked newegg and they seem more expensive than i expected.
