I´ve been coming to vgc for over a year now and closely followed all the posts and everything and one thing that always seems to amuse me is how sony fanboys keep fighting with xbox 360´s about their sales when they are both huge losers vs the wii (sales concerned). i don´t feel bad about talking like this because sony fanboys two years ago thought that it was completely imposible for the wii to even come close to the success that the ps3 was going to have and now they are all quite about it. xbox 360 fanboys in similar ways. even analitsts thought that by 2011 the wii would have sold 11 million in the us while the ps3 ws going to have 37 mill (http://www.technewsworld.com/story/52514.html). now they can´t face the truth of how wrong they were so they decide to just not comment on the wii or just dish it. I remember when the ps3 was coming out they all seemed to take for granted that the ps3 was going to be the biggest thing ever, and that it was even going to top ps2. what is still funny is that I still see some who still say that the ps3 is selling better than the ps2 was at this point of its life. however this believe has now been proven to be wrong. the reason is because if you compare the hardware from from worldwide of both ps2 and ps3, the ps3 is already lagging way behind (and not going to cacth up).Now some talk of a 10 years plan, but no company supports a product unless it sales even if it is the succesor to the ps2. if it does not sale they can{t support forever. how can fanboys be proud of the sales of a console that on this black friday managed only to sell a little bit more than an 8 year old machine and just 200kwhile the wii sold 800k. in the us when the ps2 used to be a monster is sales. they seem so proud about the sales of a console that sales just a bit more than it´s predecesor that is 8 years old. I love to see them all quite now after they bragged so much about the ps2 againts their competitors. back them it did seem like sales did matter and that beating their competitors was the way to go. just remember how much sony used to brag about ps2 sales againts nintendo and microsoft but now dont say anything. they just asummed that ps3 was going to sell like hotcakes they even used to brag before the released it and supposed people was was going to get a 600 dollar machine. Yes nintendo can brag now. At the begining of this gen they all said (sony-microsoft) that the wii was just a gimmick, but I am positive that when the next gen come they will all follow the footsteps of nintendo. this is funny because they´ll want to go motion (I now about sixaxis) and casual. they should be embarased because they will imitate the same thing that they once called a gimmick they made fun of nintendo but they will try similarly because the wii is reshaping the industry just like ps1 did with disks. it was the way to go and that is why sony won back then. and the ps2 followed greately.by the way I work for sony (vaio tehnical support) one time we at sony had a party and the funniest thing is that the party was arranged by sony themselves and they brought 4 wii´s for us to play but no play station3 . so even other sony departments prefer the wii. now the flaming begin.
