- Sorry for Metroid Prime, u get the point about reviewer scorre !
- No, I think most of the Wii owners are GC owners And even with 40% PS2 owners, there are still a lot of people that look at Wii thinking : "is it really nextgen ?"
In term of price, Wii beats everything, in term of global value, it is more balanced between the 3 consoles. AND YES, I predict that PS2 owners want to play GTA4 ==> No Wii GT5 ==> No Wii FF13 ==> No Wii PES2008 ==> No Wii MGS4 ==> No Wii DMC4 ==> No Wii RE5 ==> No Wii
This is the MAIN weakness of the Wii
1/ Even knowing this, Wii will sell because of price+wiimote+FFXIII/GTA4 not ready yet this year 2/ in 2008, multiplateform game may hit the Wii too (third party support) THEN, the Wii will be INVULNERABLE in my opinion. I just hope for wii owners that they will get better things that "minigames" or "braintrainer". |
you can think that all you want, it doesn't make it true. In Japan, the Wii is about to overtake the Gamecube's lifetime sales. You can't tell me that this is mainly from Gamecube users. I don't buy the fact that 120 million PS2 owners are sitting there waiting for the PS3 to drop in price. You seem to think that the PS2 user base is made up only of fans of those games. Add up the owners of the latest installments of those 7 games you just mentioned, and you only get about 35 million. That's only 30% of the PS2's user base, purchasing one of those games. And that's NOT including the many that will have purchased more than one.
Many of the people who own the PS2 bought it for many other reasons. Many of these people will buy a Wii. Just get used to it. I'm sure there are a lot of dedicated Sony fans who will wait on a price drop from the PS3, but for every one of those there are 5 people who will buy whatever console seems the most interesting, and at the moment that is for most people the Wii.
And if you don't believe me, maybe you will when the Wii has 100 million sales and the PS3 has 30 million.
