Forums - Gaming Discussion - Ghostbusters relaunch trailer, release date, and new progress report

I remember when this game was announced in Game Informer way back. The game, and even moreso the movies seem to have a huge following so I'm sure the game will see increadibly robust sales.
You should def convince them to include Ghostbusters 1 and 2 blue rays with the game in some kind of LE. I would snag that for sure! And maybe do what GeOW2 did and throw in some kind of gold plated ray gun skin. This game needs multiplayer! Ghostbusters on one side and ghosts on the other like L4D! :)

Is anyone else really excited to see Atari pick this up? I know Atari will probably screw this up but I want that company to stay afloat so badly... It's like Jerry West... It's the Logo.

OMG NO! I was hyping this game so much more until they picked it up! ATARI is lepracy eating away at video games. I gave them one last chance with Alone in the Dark, I was really hyped for that game. Never again. They will have to earn what they get from me the hard way.

How could Atari screw this game up? This game was originally slated for a Q4 08 release if I remember right. So I would assume that it is mostly done, and they are starting to give it that final polish. There shouldn't be a whole lot left to screw up.

I certainly am.

Atari has gone up a millionfold in my estimates after stepping in after the whole vivendi/blizzactivision debacle.

I was actually almost depressed when I first heard that GB might not even get a publisher.

I've got a lot of Atari love recently.

Me too. When I heard Acti-Blizzard's new strategy on IP, I swore off their games. Fuck them. Fuck them up their stupid asses.

But then Atari picks them up? Woo-hoo! Then again, Atari is a giant collection of fuckups who couldn't effectively market a cure for cancer. Still, I'm excited and I'm glad that the two are paired together. I'll give them my money.

oh yes, me too most definately.

Now if only there was a way to give Atari and the devs the money without blizzvision getting a cut I'd be even more happy.

and yes, as for A/B's ip policy, Fuck them. Fuck them up their stupid asses.

I'm convinced that Atari could screw up the launch of a blowjob/house cleaning/car maintenance machine that retails for $49.

Do not underestimate their ineptitude.

I'm glad someone else shares my sentiment. If I ever saw a stupid comment from a CEO who didn't deserve to be there (namely a loss-leading Activision CEO reinvigorated by Blizzard money), that was it.

Blizzard made a bad deal. Since they own 51% of the company now, they should do something about that.

Well alright.  The only thing I would be worried about is the marketing, but the game itself should be safe (I hope).

I agree about that IP policy, by the way.  I couldn't believe it when I heard it.  If you're gonna do that, keep it to yourself.  At least try and fool us into thinking that you give a fuck and are going to make good games.
