I still have not understood the Episode thing. The second one was pretty amazing and the original is still one of the best games around not even talking about the genius that is portal

But I thought the idea of shorter Episodes using the same game engine was to release them FREAKING FASTER THAN FULL GAMES. Sigh.

With as many games as Valve is making, and as little as Valve is (it isn't very small, but relative to the amount of quality games), it isn't a surprise that it is like this. If they hadn't split it up, they would all (episodes) have released in 09/10. I'm happy with the way they have done it.

                                       That's Gordon Freeman in "Real-Life"

For the record.
Half-Life 1 & 2 = both rocked.
Half-life 2:Episode 1 = was a huge let down.
Half-Life 2: Episode 2 = was awesome
Half-Life 2: Episode 3 = long over due. I would not hold my breath.

Valve owe us Ep3 pretty soon, and they're late getting Half Life 2 spruced up to the level of 360 version (which they actually tweaked a bit over the PC version).

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Episode 3 is way overdue. I wish they hadn't bothered with Left 4 Dead. I don't like it, it doesn't feel like a Valve game to me.

I want this goddamn game now. Half-Life is what Valve is all about, they should prioritize this franchise, it even sells well!
When it does come out, I'll probably play through the entire thing in one long sitting and then start to cry over the thought of having to wait 3-4 years for more Half-Life upon completion.
