I wonder if WiiFit hits 1M this week?

If Nintendo makes only $6 of profit per Wii (which I doubt), during this week they made $8 million profit from Wii hardware alone... That's enough to fund a new Wii game.

Poor PS3. Well, so long as they keep making games for it...

It's the software sales that I'm really looking forward to, though. I expect to see COD on top for a third week, and is it too much to expect 300k+ from WiiFit? o_O

200k isn't bad by any means... but compared to everything else... x_x

ALL consoles are up from year 1 to 2 - even the Dreamcast was. Therefore, being up YoY is nothing to be proud of really.

Obviously I'm not proud of it, but it could be worse.  It could be at parity, or even down YoY.  That's when I'd worry.  But if people weren't worrying last year, when it sold less YoY, I definitely wound't worry this year, when it sold more YoY.

Aren't YOY comparisons a bit unfair due to last year's week not being black friday week?

I guess the only fair way to compare is to add both consecutive weeks from both years.

No, last years numbers are from Black Friday, IIRC.

The week ending the 24 the PS3 sold 175k, so it's up from last year.
