yeah, it was widely known, that was how Playstation came about, one of nintendo's biggest mistakes was not releasing this with sony, then there would've been no Playstation and nintendo would not suffer for two gens hahaha

Yeah we know. The Playstation was a CD add on for the SNES. Look at the SNES controller and PS2 controller. Similar? You bet. Nintendo also worked with Philips to make a CD add on for the SNES, but the SEGA CD was a failure, so they scrapped it. But then Phillips made 4 games featuring Nintendo characters. Look up ZELDA CDi and HOTEL MARIO for the results.
